Tired of your factory cruise control buttons not working on your LS swapped vehicle?
This page is for you, then. This project has been a long long time coming, I began working on it sometime in the 2009-2011 timeframe but abandoned the project
until 2023. It interfaces factory resistively multiplexed cruise control buttons (such as those found on a variety of Jeep, Dodge, and Ford vehicles manufactured
from the 1970s through the 2010s) to an LS DBC ECU or LS DBW TAC module's cruise control inputs.
SUPPORTED CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH/STEERING WHEEL LIST
Green listings have support available "out of the box" in under 5 minutes of basic configuration, and upon request will ship preconfigured for your equipment.
Orange listings are hardware-supported but do not ship with a "canned" calibration file, and will require you to follow the instructions in the user manual or (optionally) video chat with me while testing the install and I
will create and email you the calibration file within a few minutes*. Red listings are planned features for next revision (shipping soon.)

1970s-1990s Ford (all vehicles with 120/680/1000/2200 ohm cruise+horn switch unit - check your model and year before ordering, or contact
for details)
some year Dodge - contact for more details (I am actively working on expanding my calibration file set for Dodge vehicles)
your vehicle here - not all can be supported, but contact to request custom support. We may be able to ship your device with a custom calibration or a new
version of firmware that will support the vehicle you have in mind, as long as it is possible with the current hardware design. Please include the following
information in your email: Make, Model, Year, engine/transmission (and any other relevant options), ideally VIN but if this is a privacy concern for you, we
understand. The information should be for what your cruise control switches came from, not the chassis, dashboard, or engine donor vehicle - for example
if you have a 1986 MJ with a 1997 XJ interior and dash, 2005 LQ4 from a Savana 3500, 1999 XJ steering column, and 2013 MK49 steering wheel, what I want
here is the VIN or make/model/year for the 2013 MK49 Compass.
* note: If your vehicle is listed in orange or red, I am specifically interested in adding out of the box support for it. I will work with you on this, and there is a
$20 discount for the first "guinea pig" customer for each orange-list vehicle model. If you are within 1 hour drive of the Belfair WA 98528 area, I will include free
on site installation of your converter as well as calibration and configuration with this discount.
SUPPORTED ECM LIST
All P01, P59, etc DBC ECMs utilizing the common 3-switch cruise control inputs (on/off, set/coast, resume/accelerate)
All P01, P59, etc DBW ECMs with TACs utilizing the same cruise control inputs
HOLLEY, MEGASQUIRT, MICROSQUIRT, RUSEFI, ET AL - NOT SUPPORTED!!! (contact to request support - but it may not be possible.)
FEATURE LIST:
Fully IP69 sealed enclosure and connectors - safe to install in the most punishing of offroad vehicles, exposed to dust, water, and mud (do not expose to
exhaust/turbo hotside radiant heat) either in-dash or underhood
All configuration data and options are managed via WiFi from your smartphone or laptop and a regular web browser. If you would prefer not to have to
configure your device in any way, we can ship it preconfigured for the exact option set you intend to install it in. You will still be able to adjust the
configuration in the future.
Device firmware can be updated from the same smartphone or laptop, if bug fixes or additional vehicle support features need to be added. Just download the
correct new version from this website onto your phone or laptop, then upload to the cruise control converter via its web interface - it takes mere seconds!
Device works with both drive-by-wire and drive-by-cable LS engine configurations. Note, all factory VCM safety conditions must be met for the cruise control
to function correctly. This means you must have the correct brake lamp switch wired into the VCM inputs, a functioning vehicle speed sensor or transmission
output speed sensor (depending on exact LS donor vehicle options), clutch safety switch (if so equipped) on manual vehicles, etc etc.
In addition to the 3 cruise switch signals for the VCM, a fourth active-high 12V output is included which may be used to activate a "cruise on" LED on the
instrument panel or steering wheel.
Device I/O has been made as reliable as possible - please do not intentionally attempt to damage it (it is obvious when troubleshooting returned units) but
most common amateur wiring mistakes should not permanently damage the unit.
Unit ships with a preassembled pigtail for DIY install and all required mating pins for professional motorsport/auto shop installation. Please
note that crimping the pins correctly for this connector (Molex CMC family) requires not one but two separate $600-ish Molex crimpers, or one $535 Rennsteig
crimper. For this reason we preassemble the pigtail but include uncrimped pins in case you are having a professional motorsport shop wire your vehicle. All the
installer will need (other than the specialized crimpers already discussed) is the special pin extraction tools for Molex CMC, which they likely already have if
they are equipped for installing this connector. If they do not already have the extraction tools, you may also specially request that no precrimped pigtail
wires be inserted and you will receive a completely unused connector housing with all required parts including extra pins. If you are having a shop install this,
PLEASE ask them before assuming they have this crimper, because not many shops do!
